There are three preset security levels in Active Shield: Low, Medium and High. However, if you are an experienced user, you may want to select your own custom set of security options. To do it click on Customize Shield button in the main window. Now select Custom security level in appeared dialog and on the right you'll see a set of checkboxes. These checkboxes control security options. Check necessary boxes and click OK. Custom security level is now applied.

Here are options that you can choose: System folders - if checked, Active Shield will guard system folders and warn about any changes inside them (copy, creating or deletion of files). It will also try to restore deleted critical system files. This feature prevents a lot of trojans and spyware (even unknown) from installing in your system.
Autorun list - if checked, Active Shield will autorun list (the list of files that run automatically in Windows startup - a lot of trojans and spyware can be run from this place) and warn about new suspicious items in it.
Processes - if checked, Active Shield will guard currently ran processes and warn about malicious processes (using its database). This feature kill almost all known malicious programs when they are active.

will guard executables in system memory. This feature kill
almost all known malicious programs when they are trying to
get active.
DLL - if checked, Active Shield will guard

malicious programs when they are trying to get active.
