The USB on the right side of laptop (the single one neat the audio jacks) stopped working when I plugged in an external hard drive to do a backup.

Hi i keep getting blocked from using the internet web browser. my computer has been a bit laggy and i scanned it many times so it's not a virus, but one time when i closed it i had the facial recognition on and the whole screen was black except for the camera box, and the i powered it off by holding the off button and when i went to turn it on again it got stuck at the windows screen with the flag so i turned it off again and on then it said something was preventing access to the OS and it asked me to run a start up scan and when i did it said there was nothing the auto fix could do and asked me to send an error report, the error report says it's an autofailover and bad driver. what does that mean, and how do i fix it? I found your "Asus Live Update removal tool" online after experiencing difficulty uninstalling the program. I downloaded the tool and it has listed some very odd programs during its scan. These are: calc.exe (in both system32 and syswow64 folders, D3DX9_43.dll (both system32 and sysWOW64), vbc.exe in Microsoft.NET Framework folder, 2 temp files in AppData ("gdiplus.dll and gdiplus_98.dll") and a registry key from some company called Trolltech. I installed Asus Live Update voluntarily directly from the Asus website (support.asus.com), so I was not expecting these normally unassociated files to be listed. My fear is a virus, tho I am running Avast antivirus with weekly scans as well as windows defender without detecting anything. Please advise. I'll attach the most suspicious files (the temp one).
