Hi,\r\n\r\nThe Inspiron Mini 10v has a 1397 wireless adapter built in, which was working fine before. I also had a Bluetooth adapter (BCM92064) built in by Dell. When I configured it at my place, wireless was working fine. When I tried connecting at my parents place (it\'s a gift for my dad), it wouldn\'t connect. I does find the AP, but never connects. I must say that even though everything was up to date at my place, when I switched on the machine at my parents place it finished up the Bluetooth install, don\'t ask me why.\r\nI have tried disabling the Dell WLAN utility and using Windows XP\'s Wireless Zero Configuration, but the issue remains. In fact, windows doesn\'t even allow me to enter the WEP password (simple, 10 hex chars) when using WZC. I can connect fine with just about any other wireless device, including my Nokia E71, my friends iPhone and three other laptops. I have also removed both the bluetooth driver and wireless driver, downloaded and installed the newest version of both of these, but the issue remains. It says it is connected to the network and signal strength is good but when I try to open explorer it give me an error. I am running XP professional utilizing SP2. I had SP 3 but I removed it thinking this would solve the issue.

I\'ve been setting up my friends Inspiron 1545, doing a clean install of Vista 64bit to be able to resize the hard drive into various partitions that she needs etc.

The wireless card worked yesterday however after doing the clean install it does not.

I have installed the necessary drivers, both the ones compatible for just the 1545 as well as the one for 1545/

The drivers were installed with no problems, with the Device Manager reading it as being a wireless card as opposed to a network adapter.

I have uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled a few times in an attempt to solve the issue of the laptop not being able to \"see\" the available wireless routers.

I am not able to connect it to the router by ethernet cable.

I have tried using the windows diagnostic and it states it can not connect to any wireless networks as it is not working.

I cannot go online in my e machines desktop... I have been trying to do whatever I know.
I ran the signal test...
All related to device amnagers and network adapters....
( updates and checks)....everything looks good ,,,,, but does not work.
But I connect it with my lap top and it works just automatically...
I have the high speed attnt.
ONLY THING I HAVEN\"T done is change the card reader.
recently I bought the linksys router and trying to have internet connect to both machines .......lap top goes online... but my other piece of junk goes still.

Help me out.
