I have tried to stop it but it keeps returning. I have unloaded my printer software due to the printer has stopped printing, however when I try and reinstall my Epson printer and software my computer wont accept the install process.

before the desktop screen shows up the welcome message on the standard bluish screen remains for several seconds and an error beep is heard. when the desktop screen opens there is an error message saying that the spoolsvs.exe file has not been typed properly or does not exist.on clicking o.k everything seems fine and i can work normally. the only hindrance is that when i play a video in v.l.c in the fullscreen mode it plays it in a very staggered manner(as the frames do not play in a continuous fashion---there is a significant time lag between consecutive frames).in the smaller screen mode(3*3 sq.inch) the problem is not so stark.i have unistalled v.l.c and then re-installed it but the problem persists.If you can suggest some easy solution other than formatting the computer I will be grateful.
