I deleted some viruses that had been preventing my anti virus programs from updating. These are AVG Free edition and SUPERAntiSpyware also a freeware. I did notice a week ago that when I double click my C or D drive,; it opens in a new folder. That must have been a virus since now that the viruses have been removed, I\'m now getting the cannot find resycled\\boot.com error. I know I can use to explore folder option to get around the problem, but I rather use a better solution. I can still access by right click and explore but there\'s something not right with it. So I ran malwarebytes which identified 7 infections which I removed I then started windows in safe mode (f8 while the computer is booting up and select the top option \"safe mode\") and ran malware bytes again which found nothing also deleted avg and installed avast seems to be doing the trick so far. Now which file do I need to delete? I do\'t wanna delete the wrong thing and f**k everything up and am not sure how to identify the correct file as malware bytes and avast don\'t seem to be picking anything up.

Rebooted my laptop the other day and got the \"STOP: 0x0000008E\" BSOD about 30 seconds after rebooting. Only way I can get on is to log on through Safe Mode with Networking. When I try to access my C:\\ drive, I get the \"Windows cannot find \'resycled\\boot.com\'\" error message.
