I have been using AVG 7.5 virus software and it recently located a virus which I believe it named PEBatch.BV. Anyway, it tried to heal the file but it forced the computer to reboot. Upon reboot, the taskbar is minimized and I cannot resize it (this happens in safe mode as well) and I cannot run any programs, even by trying with the new task option under task manager. it appears that the normal processes are running including the avg but I cannot open any programs. also when it rebooted it gave me a TAPI error related to the modem which I have also never seen before. I suspect I was infected with a virus but since I cannot open any programs I am at a loss. i also tried running the computer in safe mode and clicking no to go to system restore but that gives an error as well.
