I own a dell inspiron 500m. Each time the computer starts the dell screen will appear and then before it enters the log in screen, the screen reads setup is restarting and then it will pop up an error saying lsass.exe and the computer will automatically restart. This continuously happens over and over again. I have tried safe mode and the same thing happens there too.

I have run diagnostics both with the cd and the computer diagnostics and all tests pass.

I have tried using the dell recovery cd to reinstall windows xp by pressin r to repair. although the repair completes, it has not fixed the problem.

As a last resort I will create a new version of xp, but only as a last resort.
