Problem Summary: msdtc.exe spyware
C:\\windows\\system32\\msdtc.exe is supposed to be a service of windows on my computer XP SP2. Hower I have disabled this service in services.msc. It still remains memory resident after a many reboots. Also I have had some new suspisious files created in my system32 like 57.scr, 67.scr.
The file msdtc.exe in my memory is 4,048 K but keeps growing every second. At times it was like 13,000 K. Like it\'s collecting data. There is also another smaller process called the same name msdtc.exe but it stays at 316 K.
I can close the proces or the file in my system32 directory but it keeps coming back after a few seconds. I have tried replacing the file with a genuine windows game called hearts.
This however didn\'t help.
