Mozilla Firefox

  • Open Firefox

  • Go to Help > Troubleshooting Information in menu.

- Anti-Spyware software reports the file
"imscinst.exe" as threat, but can't remove it.
- when trying to manually just delete the file, it is automatically re-created after about 2 seconds.
- I don't find the related process.
- I've read on another internet forum, the file would be harmless and connected to MS Windows language settings (I've enabled Chinese on my computer).
Question: Is this file a threat? If yes, could you give me some suggestion how to remove it?

Problem Summary: start up is very slow

i have run many anti virus and registry cleaner programs and they do not detect a virus. GEEK SQUAD ran something and sai i had the following: mal/generic-a , coolwebsearch (CWS), bittorrent, myway-mysearch, and 01smith software.

I look at my CPU usage and idle jumps between a low number and 100%. but i never see any application using that amount of resorces
