This happened after my antivirus cleaned (possibly deleted) virus infected files.
Have tried the following:
-searched for autorun.inf (Not found)
-unchecked regsvr from msconfig
-Searched for occurrences of regsvr.exe from regedit (not found)
-Confirmed values in regedit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows NT\\CurrentVersion\\Winlogon Shell = “Explorer.exe regsvr.exe”
-Confirmed no regsvr.exe file in sytem32 folder.
Has this file gone missing or corrupted. Please advise.
