Actually i got Total Overdose Game from my friend long back.I was playing that game.I was using Windows Vista at that time.Then when windows7 came i wanted to install windows7 so i burned that game in a Dvd.After installing win7 i copied the game n started playing.Then i had to format my system so i deleted the game.Now i thought of playing the game again so when i tried to copy the game from the Dvd it showed some errors.My Dvd had some scratches so i recovered the data using softwares like Isobuster and AnyReader.But the game is not working.I tried to troubleshoot compatability but no.But when i try toplay the game from the Dvd it is working.Pls help me?

I have a 64-bit Windows 7 OS running on my Gateway computer on which I am trying to run an Activision game that is compatible with only Windows XP/2000. Because of this, the game would not install onto my computer because the message "the wizard was interrupted before the game could be completely installed" would appear. After days of trying out all kinds of compatibility protocols, registry cleanups, Windows Installer Cleanup Wizard, I still could not complete installation.
Finally, I installed Windows XP mode to try and see if this Virtual Desktop would help solve some issues. Luckily, I was able to fully install the game onto the Virtual Desktop (512 MB RAM). I wa soverjoyed!
However, as I tried to tun the game, a totally new issue presented itself. When I double clicked on the game icon on the desktop, the message "game.exe has encountered as problem and needs to close" appeared and I was asked to "Send Error Report" to Microsoft.
I have tried reinstalling the program, running the game from the CD, looking at data files inside the CD, running and installing several Registry cleaners, reinstalled the update KB917422 from Microsoft, later uninstalled it, and turned off Firewall. None of the them worked.
I hope you understand how frustrated I am with this issue. I really was looking forward to playing the game, and unfortunately customer service ahs not been able to help. What do you all suggest I do?
