userint.exe

Problem Summary: userint.exe
I had a buyware pop up and say I had 114 virus an dspyware porblems, buy this software to eliminate your security risks. I think it was called windows something. I clicked it go stop running but it wouldn\'t. My buddy says when I clicked on the red x to stop, that triggered it to install. Now, every time I start my computer two things happen. A red circle with an x shows up in my currently running programs in the lower right corner and windows explorer will not stay open. I have gone through task manager and found it to be \"userint.exe. If I shut that down in task manager, it will close and the running program icon in the lower right corner will go away. I am trying to down load windows internet explorer 8 to see if it will start working again. It is telling me I have to restart. I will write you again as soon as I restart and let you know what happened.

userint.exe

Problem Summary: userint.exe
I don\'t know if you got my last email, but I have a buyware problem. Some program popped up saying I had virus problems and had to buy their software to get rid of it. I hit the red x button trying to shut it down and my friend says that is how it got installed. Now, when I start my computer, a box opens up again telling me I have a problem. Through trial and error, using the task manager, I have found it to be \"userint.exe\". I can close it in the task manager and it will go away. But....windows explorer will not stay opened. I tried to reinstall explorer 8 and it said it was installed but the same thing, when I try to open explorer, it opens and says connecting, but then it just closes.

Help, how do I get rid of it. My friend say only reformatting will fix it.

I sent this to you already once, but no email from you, I am trying again.

Thanks,

Allen Howe

Can\'t Log into Windows XP

Problem Summary: Can\'t Log into Windows XP
Last week I think my PC caught some type of Virus. I kept getting an IE pop-up that alrted me I had a security problem or and needed immediate attention. It seemed to be tyring to re-direct me to a website. I had a hunch that this was a virus, so I immediately killed it using Task Mangager, and disabled my internet access and secured all my folders and files. I then ran my virus scan software (Norton 360). This pop-up was running via IE and would still initilize even though I had disabled my Internet. The scan found some viruses(trojan horse)and seemed to clean out the system. but upon re-boot, I now had an ADOBE Shockwave updater icon in my tray. Plus those annoying pop-up alerts remained as well. So I used my checked up on what may be causing this. I removed the shockwave updater and then proceeded to find where the pop-up instances were initiating. They seemed to be initialized from the userinit.exe file or so I thought so I just set it to idle and disabled it upon system start-up. I had a feeling this may cause a problem so I was still trying to do some research about it. so I did not plan to restart my system. but overnight Low and behold, my system for some reason restarted or something because when I awoke this morning I went to use the computer and noticed it was at the user login screen. Guess what, now I can\'t log in. Please help. I have tried multiple instances using system restore to rename and copy files but I am unable to successfully get through any process that I have tried. How can i re-enable or restore this much needed file(userinit.exe). I do indeed have the Windows XP Cd. Although my XP cam pre-loaded with my HP desktop. I have a legit copy of XP that I use to repair my PC problems on hand though. I want to avoid having to re-install the XP OS at all costs, but I would not mind directions on how to save or copy my important files to my slave drive just in case if it is possible....thanks so much in advance.

userinit.exe and atbroker.exe fail on Vista

Problem Summary: userinit.exe and atbroker.exe fail on Vista
The applications noted in subject line fail at load time, click OK to terminate the applications modal windows appear. After clicking OK for each item I\'m left with a black screen and nothing further takes place. The result is the same when booting in SAFE MODE.

I cannot use the system at all, so your solution must be able to use an alternative boot method to add, remove, or alter registry information.

userinit.exe application error I can\'t login to windows XP

Problem Summary: userinit.exe application error I can\'t login to windows XP
\'m having a problem after clicking an exe I knew was suspicious but I never had problems removing stuff before..so I guess this is my way to learn it the hard way

The minute I double clicked this exe I start getting popups from the windows toolbar with so called system warnings and got redirections to webpages with anti-virus software that would solve my problem.. yeah right.
It also got my desktop swapped to black with a message Warning! Spyware detected.. so I immediately used Spybot-Search & Destroy to try handle the problem. Some threats were handled but the symptons were still there so used PC Tools Antivirus and ThreatFire.. still the problems remain.

I also noticed I didn\'t have full acces when I wanted to use the Task Manager, a message with somthing like \" Taskmaster has been disabled by your administrator\" appeared.
When I wanted to use System Restore (this was after one of the reboots) I couldn\'t go back in time; the earliest date was that days date.
When trying to remove the black Desktop with message I could change the color but another message appeared, this time in the centre of the DT \"Warning! Spyware Detected On Your Computer! Install Antivirus Or Spyware Remover To Clean Your Computer This in a blue and yellow recangle.

So I decided to try anoter virus remover and downloaded Doctor Web at Download.com, that found a really long list of infected files, even mp3\'s and pictures among them, some were cured others deleted or quarantained. Then the program asked to reboot... and here the real problem just got started

At first the start up procedure looks ok but at the point where u get the \"Welcome\" and u should login a message says
\"userinit.exe application error The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click OK to terminate the application.\" This message appears twice and underneath we have the lovely blue yellow Warning I spoke about above. When trying to use the Task manager I get same message.. (disabled by yr admin..) So now it come down to the fact I JUST CAN\'T ACCES MY PC Grrrrrrrrrrr

Well, I don\'t give up that easy and after some googling I found an antivirus app u can use from a bootable disk, this Kaspersky Anti-Virus ISO emergency disk runs on DR-DOS and scans like every other anti-virus app. Indeed it found a few other threats but after normal restart all stays the same.. so \'m stuck at this point and really could use some help! *snif*

Safe Mode doesn\'t let me acces eighter..

hmm another thing I forgot to say is that a minute or 20 after I try to login and I let it, Windows try to reboot itself and then I get a blue stop error screen (with alot of txt on it, so if someone thinks it\'s necessary that I write down here what it all say let me know) It starts with \"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer
