svchos.exe in Windows XP system32 file and on USB
Problem Summary: svchos.exe in Windows XP system32 file and on USB
I put my USB into my computer several hours ago, and noticed a strange .exe folder called, "svchos" on my usb. Figuring this was a malicious file, I attempted to remove it, only to have it come back. I downloaded several anti-virus programs, (Kaspersky, HijackThis, AdWare SE), and all of them except Adware failed to utilize. My task manager shows numerous copies of a process called, "svchost.exe" And my start bar has magically turned into my language bar, and programs currently running do not show up on it. I looked into the system32 folder and found the svchos.exe file there too, and now I'm not sure what to do. I want to do a system restore, but I'm not sure that would solve the problem and it also wouldn't help me take the .exe file off my usb.
What can I do to solve this problem?
