downloaded aim instant messenger and somehow went to snap.do-now cant get any internet-tried uninstalling through browser but still comes up when i want to connect to internet---how do i solve this

Despite uninstalling from control panel, snap.do search is present in browsers - chrome & IE. I cant see them in the add-ins section of either browser as well. please suggest.
