Yesterday I let my brother surf the net on my computer, and a little program known as spy guard 2008 appeared and will not go away. I am currently on another computer, and have the infected computer closeby. I have tried deleting the program manually, I cannot access regedit because it says I need to be an administrator even though I am one. I cannot download Mal bits or spy hunter, or spy bot or any type of anti malware because it will not allow those programs to finish there installs. I tried cleaning it up through safe mode, but it appeared there to. I believe it has buried itself deep inside the registry and might be replicating back to when it first appeared through system restore. I have tried to system restore back to a clean setting, however it only lists one point, the first time I started trying to get rid of the program. I utilized msconfig through the run option, and unchecked the box, but it recreated itself again. I just want it gone, is there anything I can do to fix the issue with my own computer without downloads, like working through safe mode or something? Thanks in advance.

I have tried using Control Panel Add/Remove Hardware to take it off as told in many forums, but it has not seemed to work. I have not been able to find any help is there any free software that might be able to take it off or a step-by-step instruction to take it off?
