win32 virus, cloaker, silly
Problem Summary: win32 virus, cloaker, silly
Hello,
Had a virus problem with old XP installation. Completely formatted the HD (C and D partitions. New installation of XP (SP2, other version than the old one). Virus returns. Avast keeps coming up with WIN32 virusses, trojans (cloaker, silly).
Could this be a Master Boot Record virus?
Thanks for info,
Yours,
Gerard Houben

Problem Summary: redirect to a random page when clicking on a link in a searc
I get redirected to a random page when clicking on a link in a search page. I can\'t go to any antivirus, spyware or maleware site. When on the Microsoft network I can\'t go to any of thier download pages it brings me to a page stating that I don\'t have internet connection. Ran Mcafee and SDfix with no problems found. These programs are all up to date. I down loaded the setup file for spyware doctor from another PC and saved it to a CD ROM disk. When looking at the disk on the infected PC it doesn\'t show the file but it is there on another PC. The infected PC is running MS Windows XP and IE7.

Misdirected Links, Website Access Prohibited
Problem Summary: Misdirected Links, Website Access Prohibited
Any attempt to use the Google search engine results in all links being hijacked to apparently random websites. No other search engine is affected.
Attempts to visit websites that specialize in malware removal such as Castlecops or MajorGeeks result in the browser being unable to contact the server. Visiting websites such as espn.com, wikipedia, ace.mu.nu or cnn.com result in no such problems.

trojan-downloader.win32.agent variant world of warcraft
Problem Summary: trojan-downloader.win32.agent variant world of warcraft
There is a problem, in that that appendix World of warcraft informs on presence of the given virus, namely trojan-downloader.win32.agent variant. Offers the reference to a site of own support where suggests to download from a site (http://www.subratam.org/main/index.php? option=com_content&task=view&id=19&Itemid=41) program Fix Wareout. However at present attempts it to download, give out an error 404 that testifies to that that the file is absent. To find where or in a network with the help google the given program it was not possible. However there was a reference to your site where you here suggest to solve similar problems. Norton Antivirus is also unable to detect the virus and Malewarebyte\'s Anti-malware software found some trojans but World of Warcraft still detects its presence. I would also like to avoid reformatting my harddrive at all costs as there is important school material etc on the computer. In advance thanks.
