Problem Summary: System Glitching
Using a Gateway GT5468 with Windows Vista. My system has been glitching at 2 second intervals where the audio and video freeze then resume about a half second later. I\'ve noticed in the task manager that the csrss.exe file jumps fairly close to when the system glitches, and the performance in CPU usage jumps from 2% to 15% when everything freezes. I believe those files may be corrupt because the computer once was infected with the Trojan virus, but the system was restored then set back to the factory default. The hard drive was completely wiped clean and the operating system was reinstalled. New audio and video cards were installed previously so that wasn\'t the issue. I have run a sfc/scannow through the command prompt and claims 2% of my files are corrupt but I cannot access the details through the CBS logs because access is denied, I attempted a GWSCAN 5.12 and the program couldn\'t even start the scan. The fan also will not turn off if the computer is on, when it previously would only come on when the system processes started working, however in idle mode now the fan runs constantly.
