So a few days ago I restarted my computer after uninstalling a program that my computer said was corrupted. Fortunatly, after I click the pop-ups away most programs start up fine. Unfortunatly, other programs like Mozilla Firefox aren't so lucky. I've been using Internet Explorer since it seems the virus doesn't affect it, in fact, Internet Explorer is the one program I can start up without the pop-ups coming up at all.
I've tried several malware and spyware removal programs and managed to clean my system to an extent but none of the cleaning programs I've used have managed to fix this specific problem. In case they are needed, I have HijackThis and DDS logs of my system that can be forwarded. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

A few days ago, after restarting my computer to complete the uninstallation of a program my computer said was corrupt, I got hit with the "not a valid windows image" spam.
It pops up several times for various processes and programs on startup as well as whenever I try to open any program besides Internet Explorer. Fortuantly, after I click the pop-ups away, most of the programs start up fine but certain programs, like Firefox, just don't start up at all.
I've tried cleaning my system with various anti-malware and anti-spyware programs but still haven't been able to get rid of this specific virus. In case they are needed, I have DDS and HijackThis logs that can be forwarded.
