  1. Update the system
  2. The error is marked to have a connection with Windows Updates, as it emerges right after the updates installation. During the updates concerning the spooler service, some of the files occasionally can be replaced. Another Windows Update may solve the issue.

    • Initiate the search for update
    • Click on Windows Update
    • On the left panel choose Check for Updates
    • In the appeared list you’ll see available updates
    • Check the boxes with the drivers you would like to install
    • Click OK

  3. Use 'services.msc'
    • Launch the Run command by pressing Win+R
    • Type services.msc and hit Enter
    • Locate Print Spooler service and double-click it
    • Go to the Log on tab
    • Deselect the Allow service to interact with desktop box and confirm the choice by clicking Apply
    • Go to the General tab and click Start

  4. Now you need to re-register the spooler files
    • Go to the C:WindowsSystem32 folder
    • Locate two files spoolsv.exe and Spoolss.dll
    • Right-click spoolsv.exe and choose Properties
    • Go to the Security tab
    • Click on the Advanced button
    • In the opened window go to the Owner tab
    • Click Edit and select Administrators
    • Confirm the choice
    • Go to the Permission tab and click Change Permission
    • Type Everyone and click OK
    • Tick all the boxes and click OK again
    • Repeat the same for Spoolss.dll

    After a reboot you shall be able to successfully print the pages without seeing 1053 code error.
