okay, after reinstalling due to a horrible virus that I could not remove, everything was doing fine up until I ran windows update, after updating the computer several times I noticed that at startup vital services such as "Asus Smart Logon" and "Asus Live Update" as well as "HControl" stop working on my Asus N80vB Laptop. All of these services are necessary for my laptop to work as it should, one of which controls the usage of my Function keys, and one allows me to use facial recognition for logging into windows. At this point in time I am running Windows Vista Home Premium (64 bit), now I am not computer illiterate, I pride myself on being able to deal with most major issues, and I then noticed that prior to these files stopping after login, a service named winupdate.exe runs, however when running true windows update, it does not load in the task manager, and once I went to the destination folder of this process, I noticed that the company the file was registered to was labeled "Mystik Media" after researching I found that this file is a common version of the RADO Trojan virus, I am simply looking for an easy removal and tips on doing so. I tried doing what you said with rado removal tool,it didn't work I thought it was free.I thought i could do this manually but cant seem to find any correct ones with the information anyways.I scanned it with the tool and rado infected files and such showed up.It said i had to pay to delete it though.I can't afford anything right now and I got this out of nowhere.If there are no free ways to get rid of this(besides system restore(i don't have any OLD restore points to restore to))Then I will just use my vista cd,But please help me.

I constantly have a bubble that pops up in the lower right hand screen that says, "Click here to protect your computer from spyware! Your computer is Infected!" and then it has another little bit of information under that.

And then sometimes my computer beeps and in the middle of the screen this warning box appears...
"Attention! System detected a potential hazard (TrojanSPM/LX) on your computer that may infect executable files. You private information and PC safety is at risk. To get rid of unwanted spyware and keep your computer safe you need to update your current security software. Click OK to download official intrusion detection system (IDS software).

I am also running AVG and I have ran in four times in the past 24 hours and everytime it says:

even after I run AVG, the popups still keep happening.
I tried deleting the winupdate86.exe file but the computer won't let me.
I am running my computer in safe mode because it barely works in regular mode.

I've also went to Start > Run > MRT
but with the Malicious Spyware Thing, Microsoft said that it has found 0 of them.

my problem is as i start my computer, the first that appear was my document, with no icons, strtup menu and no desktop screen, if i want that back, i need to add new tack manager 'explorer.exe' and it said that no winupd.exe found. and need to install that application. I know its a virus but as i restart my computer again, still got the same problem.. please help me..

This message keeps popping up on my computer with the message "file annot be found." I also have a box popping up. Another message pops up with only the option of hitting okay asking for permission to dectect trojan. I have not hit okay, afraid to activate the trojan. I just "x" it out. I know it's some type of virius trojan but my anti virius dectection has not picked up on it. How do i get rid of it? Can i do it manually? If not what is the most effective, and most economical virius protection? I have also turned my computer off and removed the battery. Will this help stall the infection until i can fix it?
