hacked and can\'t shake it - possibly a privacy issue
Problem Summary: hacked and can\'t shake it - possibly a privacy issue
I've had an IT guy check my system, he was horrified to find buried in the layers that I was correct - somehow a router that was disconnected and in my basement was allowing access to my computer and there were a lot of people logged in.
He tried to clear me, it didn't work.
I need to know if the person who "Helped" me with computer problems a few years ago could have set this up. It's a crucial piece of info. I also cannot afford to lose my computer and I've been fighting against hard drive issues for about a year now with this hack. I shut stuff off and its turned back on shortly after. I shut it off and then it's back on again............and so forth.
I need SERIOUS HELP - and I'm hoping you aren't another creep who is going to try to kill my computer, I just can't keep up.
Thanks!
