How could I have downloaded this HTA virus? I really don't think I have it but my IP has been banned for 14 days for auto posting and it says I have a virus. I have went through 4 proxy IPs and they all ban for "auto posting you have a virus" each time I post in a thread. I have searched my PC for it and nothing is found. As many other users here I think I got the 4chan HTA, but I dont know when I got it since I cannot remember downloading anything like it (saved some pics though). Now whenever I start my computor, an explorer tab with 4chan pops up, telling me im banned for automatic posting. Well, I wasn\'t told to rename it \"4chan.hta\", something similar, but I understand it\'s the same problem. I don\'t have the original file, as I deleted it, I\'ve ran Avast and I\'m currently running Malwarebytes to try and find the infection. Each morning I can see that the only history item in my default browser for the day (someone starts my computer up before I get there, but doesn\'t use the internet) is to 4chan. I was on the boards of 4chan.org, and not surprisingly was tricked into downloading a script which .. asked me to download an HTA file. I, not knowing the difference, didnt see the harm in an HTA file. Until I realized I couldnt delete it, and 4chan banned me for having this \'virus\'\r\nUpon opening it, it slows down my computer and opens a ton of IE windows. \r\nI just want it gone. its more harm than help to me.
