I downloaded to get windows xp s3 and after i downloaded it i shut it off. The next time i open it, a blue screen opens saying Stop code0000135 Unable to find winsrv, try re-installing it.
I even left it for hours to see if the blue screen would go away.

downloaded a xp service pack 2. comp shut down after install. turn comp on and continues to restart and shutdown itself after xp logo appears. will sometimes restart and shutdown in same mode. when i can get to things in safe mode, it will shutdown after i chose any option. took mobo battery out and replaced- still doing it. went to the cmos screen and can do any thing i want without shutting down. changed a few things and computer stayed on but did not load. it will stay a black screen with a blinking line. went back into cmos and changed everything i did back. put the xp cd in and shut down comp then restarted and will not load the xp cd. tried typing\"R\" and still nothing. removed ram and reset processor. all fans working and all cables connected. believe it happened from installing xp serv pac 2. before installing service pack had to go into safe mode to access as admin because sister forgot her user password. tried installing AVG free 8 and found system wasn\'t supported. this is why i was i was installing the service pack. believe there was no antivirus on computer
