Problem Summary: pceu virus

HI virus on my PC with windows XP pro.
cannot start in any safe mode option get "blue screen" and have to shut down with main power button.
Altered the BIOS to 1st boot from CD and tried a boot disc, just goes straight to hard drive, changed to USB as 1st option, still goes to HD for boot.
system in total lockdown, if ctrl alt del pressed I get a flickering on the screen as though it's trying to show the desktop but only a flicker. I had this one time before but was able to boot from a Kaspersky boot disc then run a virus checker and eveeything was ok, obviously these dicks are learning????

Problem Summary: pceu virus

Hi there,
I have pceu virus,

Ive tried a few suggestions and these are my findings.
1)can not start in safe mode (pc runs script and returns to normal)
2) can not start in safe mode with command (as above)
3) can not start in safe mode with networking (as above)

I do not have any administrator rights (my account is the administrator account)
therefore I can not run any malware or anti spyware which i already have.

Tried the Kaspersky boot disk option along with Hitman Pro via a USB.
The Kaspersky disc will not progress past the load stage and the USB option fails to boot at all.

Changing the boot ordder in BIOS results in instant failure to any option other that the only one that works.

The virus covers the whole of the screen with no option but to force the shutdown of the pc by the on off switch.

Any suggestions you have would be gratefully recieved.
I'd like to be able to recover administration rights first unless you have a specific technique for the virus which opens my account.
I'm running windows XP on a laptop
Regards
Trevor
