I have Windows XP, on a Dell XPS laptop, which I bought back in 2005. I thought I had all the security updates and service pack updates, but i\'m not sure.

I believe I have the Sasser Worm. Initially my computer would attempt to boot, only to reboot within 60 seconds while displaying: C\\Windows\\System32\\Lsass.exe
System code -1073741819.

I restored my system to an earlier date and the comptuer was seemed to be running something in the back ground, at least I think. The cooling fans started to run on high and an hourglass attached to the right side of the cursor was constant, never disappearing. My security updates woudln\'t stay enabled. I attempted to download the latests windows security updates, but was only able when I quickly turned the security updates on and went to the microsoft security update page. Only one of the updates were unable to load.

I downloaded Stinger and scanned, nothing found. I disabled the system restore in attempt to edit the registry files according to the steps in this link:http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_125007.htm, rebooted the system and now I can\'t reboot. The Windows XP screen loads and instead of seeing my desktop I see a black screen with my cursor. What can I do? Isass.exe virus

Problem Summary: Isass.exe virus
I think I have this virus. However my computer only loads a black screen when it should be a welcome screen. I can only see my white mouse arrow. After a few minutes an lsass.exe error pops up about memory, or something like that, with the remainder of the screen still being black. I want to fix this but don\'t know how... I surely don\'t want to lose all my documents!

My friend\'s computer received the message that says system shutdown in 60 seconds. We\'ve determined that it is the sasser worm, but every time we start up the computer and try to run something to get rid of the virus, the computer shuts down. I recently found that you can do something to get it to stop shutting down, but now the computer won\'t even start up. When we start it, it says object error lsass.exe. Then it is stuck on the screen \"windows is starting up\".

I am trying to fix a computer for a friend who when they turn their comp on it would just cut saying error lsass.exe but now it loads up then just goes windows proffenial then goes to a black screen and then stays like that ..trying to start in safe mode also produces a blank screen. If I turn my wireless switch off then my desktop runs fine. I\'m using Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit. I really don\'t know what to do, please help!

I believe that I have the saser virus, my system keeps restarting however most of the fixes i have seen require the system to be running to administer patches or remove reg files.. How can I solve this problem without my system booting.. Is there a way to access the command prompt from the utility? Thank you.

I have 1 laptop with windows xp sp2 installed but when the user is not connected to the network working offline with domain credential . the authorithy system dialog box is display and the system will be shutting down in 4o secs
I made a full system scan on safe mode with system restore disable but nothing changed. Can yu help on this?
