After down-loading McAfee Antivirus Scan, Firewall, and Anti-spam software, some portion of the instructions after installation were to reboot. Shutdown&Restart did not go well. I figured out how to do the F8 for Windows start-up options and disabled auto-restart on failure. I have windows XP home edition. Using a Dell Vostro 1500. I was using SuperAnitspyware to search and then remove malicious spyware and stuff from my computer. Symantec found a virs \"Downloader.MisleadApp\" attached to the winlogon file. We turned off System Restore, booted in safe mode, ran the virus scan. Now when we boot the system, Windows lets you login, but before your screen can come up, and before you can do anything, it reboots windows. This also happens in safe mode.
