Problem Summary: autoupd has enabled windows

I tried to remove autoupd.exe but it said that it couldnt be removed because it was used by an other program. So i followed norton anti-virusĀ“s descripton on how to remove it, and it said that i should open windows in safemode. But when i restarted my computer i came to the screen where i choose what windows type i want, i suddenly cant use my keyboard. And i cant start with normal windows. Please help me.
