Problem Summary: Manifest Files - Transfrering Appear

On my old lap top I was receiving a pop up saying that files transferring from one area to another. I go to delete it from the screen but it wont let me do it. The only way to get rid was to reboot. Now I have transferred to my PC and the same has started again.

The only thing that I have installed on my PC which I had on my PC were Firefox, VLC Media Player, Power Director 9, TweetDeck and Mozilla Thunderbird. Other than that, nothing else. However, I have a 240G external hard drive which was also attached to the laptop which is also now attached to my PC.

I borrowed a friends laptop which had the external hard drive attached and that to was slow, however, after returning it after the loan, he removed the above programmes that I had installed and now it is whizzing away with all loads. The external hard drive is not attached to his PC.

Prior to moving to my PC, the PC was cleaned thoroughly and had a new hard drive installed. The PC was running fast, but is now slow at times.

I have now downloaded the MANIFEST Removal Tool and have initiated a scan.

Please Help!

Regards

Marc Duncan

Problem Summary: Suspected Trojan

I downloaded a zip file from the internet and having unzipped I found an unknown file in the unzipped files. I clicked on it and it suggested there was an error of some kind. I have since restarted the computer and since then my pc keeps on popping up with random programmes trying to run (a list of random numbers.exe) with my admin asking for permission. I have also noticed a new file named y333y.exe which has a description Chevrolet. I have tried to delete it but it appears to be running, and I have tried to stop it running using task manager end process but it wont allow this either. Each time I select the admin permission popup and dont give permission a new setup file and manifest file is created in my temporary files on my user.
