Here are the descriptions of problems connected with Prutect and svchost.exe we received earlier:

Problem Summary: Virus Infection

Hi,

I am running Windows 7 on my laptop. I have Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 installed and it up to date (Trial, with 3 days left, after which I'll buy the full version). One day I was surfing the web and I got a notification from Kaspersky of virus activity. I started getting a lot of infection notices and My browser (Chrome) would occasionally redirect me to some porn site or other site selling stuff. I went into safe mode and ran a scan. The first time my PC just shut down suddenly for no apparent reason. Second time it completed the scan and I rebooted. One of the viruses found was called Krap.hx. When I was back in windows things seemed normal again but when I tried using chrome I got an error 102 saying webpage cannot be found. The same type you get when you aren't connected to the internet. I tried IE & Opera and the had the same problem. However Firefox was working so I googled the problem and I found out that it could be more malware causing this. Then I found out that when I open a webpage with "spyware" in the title, the virus closes my browser. So I went into safe mode with networking and tried to open the same page and it worked. So I downloaded Spyware Doctor and ran a scan. It's just been completed right now. The program found more malware but it cannot delete them unless I pay, which I am unable to do at the moment (because there is no way I'm using my card on an infected machine) How can I delete the following infections manually?:

Spyware.TrustyHound!rem

Trojan.Pru-tect

Trojan.Gen

Thanks

Problem was successfully solved. Ticket was closed.
